2024 is for sharing

I'll be using this space to publish some original poetry as it comes to me this year. Here is a haiku I wrote on the first day of 2024. I hope it resonates!

Let’s start with poems
Short, long, funny, sad, poems
This year is for words. 

Words made for actions.
Meaning that they can change minds
Hearts, souls, world visions. 

Live resolutions
In reverse. How will you wish
To have lived this life?

As a wave? Changing
Oceans, pulling depths to light,
Always in motion.

As mountain? Inert
To the untrained eye. Risen
Out of mud to sky.

As love itself? Life’s
Greatest gift. Power to
Conquer or uplift. 

Year gone, year coming.
You decide their difference.
Darkness or brilliance.
